Jakarta, February 8, 2007 (ANTARA News) - Western Australian Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Disabled Service Tony McRae will visit Indonesia beginning Friday, the Australian Embassy said.
Upon his arrival, McRae will meet with Indonesian Forest Minister MS Kaban, the embassy said in a statement made available to ANTARA here Thursday.
During his five-day Indonesian tour, McRae will visit East Java province where he will observe Solco solar energy project in Sumber Miri area on February 11 and meet with East Java governor on Feb 13, it said,
According to the statement, McRae?s visit to East Java is aimed at strengthening ties between Western Australia and the Indonesian province.
Western Australia set up a sister state with East Java in 1990 to pave the way for developing long-term commercial and cultural relationship between the two regions, it said.
