BANYUWANGI, East Java (Antara): Forestry Minister M.S. Kaban Tuesday told the police to arrest 25 businessmen from across the country, who are involved in illegal logging, sparking flooding in a number of regions.
"There are 25 businessmen, who have no permit from forestry ministry, but they were involved in illegal logging. They have to face prosecutions," Kaban was quoted by Antara news agency as saying Tuesday, but he did not come into detail about the 25 businessmen.
Kaban said some 738,000 hectares of forest conservation areas posed serious damage due to illegal logging.
