KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara (The Jakarta Post): The provincial administration said it wanted to plant 400,000 trees annually to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The administration's spokesman Eduard Gana said the planting program would be launched on Nov. 28 and would involve people from all walks of life, including school children, police and military personnel.
"The environment has become an international issue and it has become the responsibility of all people to take action to save the world from worst climate change impacts," he said.
