Five persons in the car suffered serious injuries and were immediately rushed to Yarsi hospital in Padangpanjang, but one of them died, he said.
The heavy rain flushed the border area on Saturday at 04.00 pm West Indonesia Standard time (WIB) which caused an avalanche when the car was passing the landslide-prone area on its way from the West Sumatra`s town of Bukittinggi to Padang Pariaman district.
