Bandarlampung (ANTARA News) - Lampung province`s coffee exports in the first eleven months of 2007 dropped in volume to 168.12 million kg but increased in value to US$276.48 million from the same period in 2006.
Lampung earned US$264.87 million from exporting 230.63 million kg of coffee in the January-November 2006 period, Sunarto, executive secretary of the Indonesian Coffee Producers Association (AEKI)`s branch in Lampung, said on Friday.
He said Lampung`s coffee exports in 2007 were expected to decline.
"The drop in coffee exports was caused by the delayed arrival of harvest time and the decline in coffee production in the 2006 harvest season," he said.
Lampung is one of Indonesia`s coffee producers.
