Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring at 6 at the Richter Scale rocked the area of Ujungkulon, West Java at 6 am on Sunday.
The Jakarta-based meteorological and Geophysics Body (BMG) said on Sunday the quake would not lead to a tsunami.
The attendant of the BMG also said the quake was also felt in the coastal area of Pelabuhan Ratu, Sukabumi district.
The BMG Site said the epicenter of the quake was 7.47 at the South Latitude and 105.72 of East Longitude, or some 32 kilimeters beneath the sea, some 78 kilometers southeast of Ujungkulon.
So far, the BMG has yet to see for the possible afterquakes.
